Apple Blossoms Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDD BEFEGG HIJIKK BBJBLL BMNMBB

Of all the lovely blossomsA
That decorate the treesB
And shower down their petalsC
With every breath of breezeB
There is nothing so sweet or fair to meD
As the delicate blooms of the apple treeD
-
A thousand shrubs and flow'retsB
Delicious pleasure bringE
But beautiful PomonaF
Must be the queen of springE
And out of her flagon the peach and pearG
Their chalices fill with essence rareG
-
Oh is it any wonderH
Devoid of blight or flawI
The peerless blooms of EdenJ
Our primal mother sawI
In redolent beauty before her placedK
So tempted fair Eve the fruit to tasteK
-
But woman's love of applesB
Involving fearful priceB
And Adam's love for womanJ
That cost him ParadiseB
By the labor of hands and sweat of browL
Have softened the curse to a blessing nowL
-
If so those pink eyed gloriesB
In fields and orchards gayM
Develop luscious fruitageN
By Horticulture's wayM
Then sweet as the heart of rich legumesB
Shall luxury follow the apple bloomsB
