Ugly Roses Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AB CD EF GG HH IJ I

Like a rose she was picked and he squandered her timeA
In her little red dress she wasn't really fineB
-
And like a rose she was but tugged from the groundC
Time went by and her petals grew brownD
-
But unlike a rose her thorns grew softE
And white Lacey underwear she was tossedF
-
And he never loved that girl he just crushed her prideG
But compelled she was and she was forced to be his brideG
-
But behind closed doors she covered up the bruisesH
And she accepted his blows and his very short fusesH
-
But she died one day the blood laced her faceI
Because all he could do was take and take and take and takeJ
