Ugly Roses

Like a rose she was picked and he squandered her time,
In her little red dress she wasn't really fine.

And like a rose she was but tugged from the ground,
Time went by and her petals grew brown.

But unlike a rose her thorns grew soft,
And white Lacey underwear she was tossed.

And he never loved that girl, he just crushed her pride,
But compelled she was and she was forced to be his bride.

But behind closed doors she covered up the bruises,
And she accepted his blows and his very short fuses.

But she died one day, the blood laced her face,
Because all he could do was take and take and take and take.
