From Hand To Hand Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA BBBB CDE FGH

The Pope God's locum Our Lord is someone I'dA
Liken to an eternal Father like Our Eternal FatherB
That is he doesn't die or sure he dies but ratherB
To be precise he only really dies on the outsideA
-
Because when his body leaves off being a governorB
His soul still stuck in its ancient honourB
Doesn't go to paradise or hell it ain't a gonerB
But passes straight into the body of his successorB
-
In this way he can undergo slight changes in his brainC
His stomach ears nose skin mouth or eyesD
But the Pope inasmuch as he's a Pope stays the sameE
-
An that's the reason why every body fated to receiveF
That kind of dignity falls down from the skyG
Soulless with nothing else but the power to breatheH
