The word of GodA
is not a captive of the pulpit s thunderB
often it arrives unannouncedC
a quiet breath wanderingD
through the still corridors of the pewsE
-
For truth is older than the preacher s voiceF
and wider than the walls that house itG
It borrows the lips of the ordinaryH
and sometimes the trembling tongueI
of those who never learned the language of sermonsJ
-
The word of AllahK
does not sleep only in the sacred ink of the KoranL
like the wind over deserts and oceansJ
it travels without passport or permissionM
resting in the counsel of a friendN
in the warning of an enemyH
in the strange wisdom of a passing strangerB
-
For the Divine WordO
is not merely the music of comfortP
Sometimes it is a storm over conscienceQ
sometimes a mirror before the soulR
sometimes a blade of lightS
that tears the fabric of our cherished illusionsJ
-
Truth is a wandererB
It refuses captivity in templesT
escapes the custody of doctrineM
and laughs softlyH
at the arrogance of thoseU
who claim to be its only messengersV
-
It appears where humility bends low enough to hearW
and vanishes where pride builds thrones for itselfX
It rises in unlikely mouthsY
and settles in unexpected heartsZ
-
For the word of GodA
is not a possession to guardA2
but a mystery to encounterB
a living echo moving through creationM
older than scriptureB
deeper than religionM
and wider than every pulpitG
that dares to contain itG
