Oh, child of the cosmic loom,
2025, you step from time’s womb,
Carrying the weight of hopes unspoken,
A year unformed, a promise unbroken.
Let me whisper to you, oh infant divine,
Take record of my struggle, my climb.
Mark the days I’ve battled the tide,
And make your hours a place to abide.
Let your winds carry no storms to my door,
Instead, bring whispers of love, and more—
Moments where laughter reigns and binds,
And shadows dissolve in the light of kind minds.
Do not race ahead, reckless and wild,
Nor lag behind, stubborn as a child.
Let time flow with grace, steady and true,
And grant me a pace that sees dreams through.
Keep your clock in harmony’s hand,
Unwind the knots only wisdom can stand.
Bend your moments to favor the bold,
Yet cradle the weary in nights of gold.
I charge you, year, with wars yet to fight,
To wrestle with chaos and birth new light.
Raise banners of peace in tempestuous skies,
And let justice bloom where its seed lies.
Become the arbiter of hope renewed,
A sovereign where fairness is imbued.
May your seconds pulse with purpose profound,
Each heartbeat a note in eternity’s sound.
2025, take heed of my plea:
Leave no one forgotten, not even me.
Unravel despair, bind joy to our names,
Make victories humble and failures tame.
You, a vessel of infinite chance,
A temporal waltz, a celestial dance.
Guide me gently or push me to strive—
But never, oh never, leave us behind.
