| We used to hold hands chat through the night | B |
| And make each other our hearts delight | B |

| When we never slept without saying goodnight | B |
| Or sending kisses which were our blisses | D |
| Now it's just however you pleases | D |

| There was a time when we held together closely | E |
| And cuddled like parting wouldn't be so hurting | F |

| When we used to make similar rhymes | D |

| But now our love is gone | G |
| And what we have is dry laugh undone | H |
| Because what used to lead us blinded us to insincerity | B |
| And now we're too torn apart from reality | B |
