Hey you, yes you Mr politician,
I write this letter to you,
With a burdened heart,
Tears dripping from my eyes falling on my book,
Like rain drops hitting the grounds,
Wetting it messing up the writings on it,

Hey you, yes you Mr. Politician,
During your campaigns,
Door to door you secure your votes,
Empty promises you make,
Since your tongue is sired with honey,
Voting you in we do,
Your words penetrates through our stoned hearts,
Like water flowing through the rock,

Hey you, yes you Mr. Politician,
Now that we're faced with this pandemic,
Looked in your home you're,
Not a word is heard from you to console us,
Neither have you given a helping hand,
Ensuring starvation doesn't consume our lives,
Are you even alive in that mansion of yours,

Hey you, yes you Mr. Politician,
Street vagabonds we are to you,
Crippled we are, limiting our movements,
Since you're a shareholder in the national govt,
You pocket is being serviced,
You're well off,
We feed from your left over,
Mark my words,
Time is fast clicking,
You will yearn to stay on that seat,

Voting you out we will,
And vote in someone with consciousness,
Someone who shall put our needs first,
Chameleon you've become,
Disguising in your environs,
With or without you help,
We shall win and triumph over this pandemic.
