The Lantern Out Of Doors Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDC DDD

Sometimes a lantern moves along the nightA
That interests our eyes And who goes thereB
I think where from and bound I wonder whereB
With all down darkness wide his wading lightA
Men go by me whom either beauty brightA
In mould or mind or what not else makes rareB
They rain against our much thick and marsh airB
Rich beams till death or distance buys them quiteA
-
Death or distance soon consumes them windC
What most I may eye after be in at the endD
I cannot and out of sight is out of mindC
-
Christ minds Christ's interest what to avow or amendD
There eacute yes them heart w aacute nts care ha uacute nts foot f oacute llows k iacute ndD
Their r aacute nsom th eacute ir rescue aacute nd first f aacute st last fri eacute ndD
