I saw it flow
Yes, that deadly river
Carrying a huge blow
Our comrades gone forever
At first they saw it good
That flooded bridge to cross
They couldn't know
That therein death exist
To the other side below
A deep stream could visit
I heard them cry
Once more before they sank
They wailed and wailed
Nevertheless more water they drank
No help we offered
In skills we felt blank
Swimming deep wasn't easy
We watched them die
Our cries couldn't help
That Deadly River
