Lines Written At Night Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDDEFGHIGJKLMEINBO PQ

Oh thou surpassing beauty that dost liveA
Shrined in yon silent stream of glorious lightB
Spirit of harmony that through the vastC
And cloud embroidered canopy art spreadingD
Thy wings that o'er our shadowy earth hang broodingD
Like a pale silver haze betwixt the moonE
And the world's darker orb beautiful hailF
Hail to thee from her midnight throne of etherG
Night looks upon the slumbering universeH
There is no breeze on silver crowned treeI
There is no breath on dew bespangled flowerG
There is no wind sighs on the sleepy waveJ
There is no sound hangs in the solemn airK
All all are silent all are dreaming allL
Save those eternal eyes that now shine forthM
Winking the slumberer's destinies The moonE
Sails on the horizon's verge a moving gloryI
Pure and unrivalled for no paler orbN
Approaches to invade the sea of lightB
That lives around her save yon little starO
That sparkles on her robe of fleecy cloudsP
Like a bright gem fallen from her radiant browQ
