A Wish Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFAGHIJKL

Oh that I were a fairy sprite to wanderA
In forest paths o'erarched with oak and beechB
Where the sun's yellow light in slanting raysC
Sleeps on the dewy moss what time the breathD
Of early morn stirs the white hawthorn boughsE
And fills the air with showers of snowy blossomsF
Or lie at sunset 'mid the purple heatherA
Listening the silver music that rings outG
From the pale mountain bells swayed by the windH
Or sit in rocky clefts above the seaI
While one by one the evening stars shine forthJ
Among the gathering clouds that strew the heavensK
Like floating purple wreaths of mournful nightshadeL
