When life is cut off, we say they have faithfully departed
What else could have been said, leaving this hellish earth to an unknown source
Though they do say the devil one knows is better than an unknown angel
Fallacy upon fallacy, the soul is far gone and rented.

My beloveth Asake
The one that is as beautiful as ‘igbin’
Please do not eat ‘ekolo’ save what they devour in heaven do wine and dine with them.

Buried flesh eaten by cankerworms deep to the bones and turned to dust
When alive you glow and shine forgetting the unknown world
Live on! Live on in the unknown world that never rust
Never again would you come over to dine and give me just a word

My charming Adigun
The courageous one whom ‘iku’ feared but now swallowed by death
Please never fidget as one day death will kneel and plead for your forgiveness.

Do not be fooled, some saints do have dark spots and some who died martyrs entertained fear
Not just the fear of death to us all but the fear of how fair is the world beyond with its worries
To all the dead I ask; is the journey, arrival and abode actually fair?
One by One, group by group, we shall all exit this world with no one to tell our after life stories.

‘Mama’ and ‘Baba mi agba’ filled with wisdom and all the departed innocent ‘omode’
Is age, colour, gender and religion really a barrier in the world beyond?
We here wish to know but no one to relate the reality as dreams here even conflict.

We all wish to go to heaven but this world is bitterly sweet to let go off
I wonder how the world beyond would be without each one recognizing one another or would we?
My Ajike, My Ishola, if I exit this world and cannot again recognize you, what would be the gain?
It is painful, bitterly painful as strangers in heaven or hell we might all be again.

‘Oku’ has gone to the world of no return
Till when shall we all be gathered to live a new life as one?
No longer to be judged by age, colour and gender but by the intent of our heart forever and ever.
