Rhyme Scheme: ABBC DDEE FGHH DDEE IHIH DDEE

The Yorubas do say Ile la n ti ko eso rodeA
You cannot no matter how clever cheat on natureB
As what comes from you and I has its roots traced to our nurtureB
From home do our sojourn start and ends on how good we rebirth ourselves day by dayC
-
Many homes are filled with fortunesD
While some are products of misfortunesD
Omoluabi Omoluabi till when would this come to beE
Gentlemanly Gentlemanly what a pitiful anomalyE
-
The Igbos do say No matter how clever like an unhidden smoke so it is for our habitsF
You claimed to be well raised before getting to power how come the public funds you now like cankerworms eatsG
Of a truth efin ni iwa and as such the truth cannot for long be hiddenH
What a mess under corruption good habits is totally forbiddenH
-
Many homes are filled with fortunesD
While some are products of misfortunesD
Omoluabi Omoluabi till when would this come to beE
Gentlemanly Gentlemanly what a pitiful anomalyE
-
The Hausa Fulanis' do say Let's build values and culture on a solid foundation no matter who we areI
Is that the reality in this era of corruptionH
When the evil wind of temptation blows then you will remember whose child you areI
Many till date still describe their father's house with a left hand without any emotionH
-
Many homes are filled with fortunesD
While some are products of misfortunesD
Omoluabi Omoluabi till when would this come to beE
Gentlemanly Gentlemanly what a pitiful anomalyE
