In the season
Everything's dry
The trees are dry
And broken, shed
Their leaves and stand
Straight like they'd never bloomed
Their hungry looking branches
Pointing to the skies
As if in supplication for rain;

But today I saw a frangipani
Blossoming with fresh leaves
And pretty looking purple flowers
Arranged in a most beautiful manner
Like it had it had a source of water differently;

It set me thinking
Of the saying "One man's meat
Is another's poison," One trees
Season of dryness, another's season
Of blossom; In life some cry
Some celebrate; To some it's a season
Of woe, to others it's a season of glory
That's why every dog has got its day.
