Bad news they say travels fastB
But news of your passingC
Never came so fastB
Never heard until in passingC
A call came from oneA
Who assumed I'd knownA

You were a big sister to usD
When we were growing upE
And twas always fun for usD
To remember those wonderful days we felt on topF
Of the world as childrenA
Who never knew the world thenA
Now you're no moreG
Fare thee well we won't see anymoreG

Poet's note: On Sunday November 22, 2020 I received the news of the death of my cousin to whom this poem and two others are dedicated. The poem recalls the time we spent as family when we were growing up with her as a big sister, and bid's her farewell.
