Are we humanA
When our eyes can't draw a lineB
Between human beings animals or treesC
When our mind's can't seeD
The humanity in our victimsE
Nor the pleading in their eyesF
Asking for just a little pityD
-
Are we humanA
When we bind a childG
Like the children we nurtureH
At home with love hand and footI
Like an animal and slaughterH
Him like a lamb offeredJ
At the altar of a wicked godK
That sucks and livesL
On human blood like DraculaM
-
Are we humanA
When we offer to sacrificeN
Fellow humans in the sanctuaryD
Of the desire for wealthO
At all cost for the fleeting thingsP
Of a dying worldQ
And which we'll leave behindR
When that great demand for our souls is madeS

Poet's note: Every where in the world human beings are killed by other humans as if they were animals. "Bestiality" decries this and encourages respect for human life.
