Life At Cradle Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA CDBCE BF DBDFG ABH AAB

We played in the stream of EtegalaA
Both he and she uncladB
Neither shame nor prideB
Like a suckling whelp and a blissful gazelleA
-
After the rains we awaited the rainbowC
To grab our colours in the skyD
I was blue she was whiteB
And my neighbor yellowC
We knew no dark in usE
-
We fought and played over in the field build castles in the sandB
She was mother I was fatherF
-
I rode the kite high the skyD
So was my dream to be a pilotB
I would claim the jets up the skyD
Buy one for fatherF
And pilot mother from home to AmericaG
-
At dusk fallA
The yellow mellow bulb lit my once revered country yardB
I would find my life in the sky choosing among the stars to call mineH
-
Life was floruit at cradleA
But the streams have turned vinegar and the nights cruelA
I wished the world never changedB
