L'envoi Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDEFGE| Now in a thought now in a shadowed word | A |
| Now in a voice that thrills eternity | B |
| Ever there comes an onward phrase to me | B |
| Of some transcendent music I have heard | A |
| No piteous thing by soft hands dulcimered | A |
| No trumpet crash of blood sick victory | B |
| But a glad strain of some still symphony | B |
| That no proud mortal touch has ever stirred | A |
| - | |
| There is no music in the world like this | C |
| No character wherewith to set it down | D |
| No kind of instrument to make it sing | E |
| No kind of instrument Ah yes there is | F |
| And after time and place are overthrown | G |
| God's touch will keep its one chord quivering | E |
