The Widening Sky Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGH IJKD LMMN

I am so small walking on the beachA
at night under the widening skyB
The wet sand quickens beneath my feetC
and the waves thunder against the shoreD
-
I am moving away from the boardwalkE
with its colorful streamers of peopleF
and the hotels with their blinking lightsG
The wind sighs for hundreds of milesH
-
I am disappearing so far into the darkI
I have vanished from sightJ
I am a tiny seashellK
that has secretly drifted ashoreD
-
and carries the sound of the oceanL
surging through its bodyM
I am so small now no one can see meM
How can I be filled with such a vast loveN
