Dear April
In a year you are a month
Didn't come first but fourth
From the bean comes moth
From the year you came forth.
Dear April
Can't replace you with another
Cause you gave me a mother
When I asked for another
You gave me a lover.
Month like no other.
Dear April
On you I crushed
And I, you brushed
From the rock the water rushed
In you my pains are flushed
Dear April
When I remember
You are my defender
You are so tender
Kindness you render
You make me wonder.
Dear April
In you I'm comfortable
And I believe you are capable
We are inseparable
Cause you are lovable.
Dear April
You are of excellence
You gave me intelligence
Named my mum Florence
Taught me obedience
And those are the evidence.
Dear April
Everything seems right
Ever since you gave me Bright
In time of fright
In life's darkest night
He shines as my light.
Dear April
My month of celebration
You give me provision
You took away frustration
And replace with jubilation.
Dear April
You took away my bitterness
And gave me happiness
Oh my goodness!
What a kindness.
Dear April
Accept all I bring
Wish I could fly and sing
But I don't have wings
Thank you for everything.
Dear April
