Nature's kiss on my cheek
Bathing in summer's beauty
Reminiscing about old memories
Life comes at you quickly.

To sad days, I say goodbye
Tis the time to enjoy my life
This might be my consolation prize
For never giving up the fight.

I've been through thick and thin
Neglected by those I called family
Life is never tired of teaching lessons
A friend today could be tomorrow's enemy.

Nevertheless, beauty lies beneath the scars
And I never stopped staring at the stars
A reward is always attached to pain
If only we refuse to yield or break.
