Will it matter if I m furious nowA
Will it make a difference and howA
Should I just be mad at myself forB
not leaving sooner out the doorB
-
I m shrouded in self doubtC
Struggling to dig me outC
Blaming myself for all the painD
In the process of breaking my brainD
-
You caused it allE
The belief that I was wrongF
And forgetting all alongF
That you were supposed to have my backG
But I ended up putting up with all the slackG
You abandoned me when I needed you the mostH
-
An overreactionI
That s what you called my father s deathJ
when he laid there breathing his final breathJ
I needed you to hold me tightK
But instead you picked a fightK
-
I don t deserve what I had to go throughL
I really had no clueL
Being married to a narcissist broke meM
Now only doubt and negativity can I seeM
as I try to make sense of it allE
-
I was strong to break the bondN
of marriageO
but beyondN
that I have nothingP
-
I still feel I deserve the scrapsQ
but perhapsQ
-
I need to acknowledge you caused me painD
I need to acknowledge you rewired my brainD
I need to acknowledge you made me question my sanityM
And you made me lock away my humanityM
-
You are a terrible human beingP
Causing all the destruction everyone is seeingP
I might have been blind at the timeR
But I wiped off your slimeR
-
You cut me over and overS
The healing process will be slowerS
But I need to acknowledge the pain you made me feelT
for me to dealT
-
You left scars that will show for a lifetimeR
I wish everyone knew about your crimeR
But I need to acknowledge that you had so much blameU
That you should be the one shrouded in shameU
