Last Fire Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDECCE

Love through your spirit and mine what summer eveA
Now glows with glory of all things possess'dB
Since this day's sun of rapture filled the westB
And the light sweetened as the fire took leaveA
Awhile now softlier let your bosom heaveA
As in Love's harbour even that loving breastB
All care takes refuge while we sink to restB
And mutual dreams the bygone bliss retrieveA
-
Many the days that Winter keeps in storeC
Sunless throughout or whose brief sun glimpsesD
Scarce shed the heaped snow through the naked treesE
This day at least was Summer's paramourC
Sun coloured to the imperishable coreC
With sweet well being of love and full heart's easeE
