Why Worry? Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIIJ JAKKALMNOPJ

Repent in ashesA
With drops of tearsB
kissing Mother EarthC
In the debut of sinsD
Ask with regretsE
Will God accept you as you areF
You ll realise She wouldG
For She s the giver of lifeH
And upon Her bosom breastI
Will you forever restI
So why worryJ
-
Is it because of societyJ
Well they re judges in high placesA
Hideous in the skies of adviceK
With their critics raining like iceK
Their judgments freeze you into piecesA
And they never rest until you melt in peaceL
So why worry about themM
They re never meant to be pleasedN
Please Her insteadO
Worrying only brings worriesP
So then why worryJ

Dacosta Kofi Aboagye

Poet's note: We should live a life free from societal judgments, if God is willing to accept us just as we are, why do we worry on pleasing man instead of God. Selflessness and Self love
