Poet's note: This poem expresses my frustration with the world about their lack of understanding about my sexuality: asexual. Although since writing this poem I have discovered that I am in fact biromantic (something which I have yet to tell the world), I still am asexual and the poem still holds true. It's not just a phase, I'm not simply a "late bloomer," it's just who I am.
