The Ashes Of Life Spent Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEF GHIJKF LMNOF PMKKF QRAKF

vast unsung mass of humanity in their endA
beautiful in their numberB
reduce to tepid sentimentalityC
Songs adored words that moved usD
people dear people loathedE
these are the ashes of life spentF
-
A Litter of papers shed of meaningG
Treasured objects once cherishedH
Made tawdry by time ravaged by dustI
betray their significanceJ
Sold for pennies to listless bargainersK
these are the ashes of life spentF
-
Center of the Universe diamond in the roughL
Every thought once profound history toldM
Stories unfold in real time only to be lostN
by millennial marchO
these are the ashes of life spentF
-
Breath exhausted epiphanies gained then forgottenP
warmth of sun and bracing coldM
New days old days mornings and twilightsK
Scores of lovers and terrible fightsK
these are the ashes of life spentF
-
Recollections once unforgettableQ
Fade lackluster unheraldedR
Discarded and ignored to Universe endA
A paltry flash of magnificenceK
Rest rest now this life spentF
