To My First Born Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBABAABCDCCDE

MY beautiful For beautiful thou artA
To me thy father as the morning lightB
Which makes all common objects fresh and brightB
Yea gives them out of the dun void to startA
As they were newly fashion d from the NightB
For long there was a darkness round my heartA
Until thy mother made her life a partA
Of mine to pierce it with Love s genial mightB
The Aurora she and the young Morning thouC
Of a new era in my worldly wayD
Whence it behoves me heedfully to ploughC
The future for thy sake and for the vowC
That I have made to make thee if I mayD
A Man right worthy of our AustraliaE
