The Past Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCBABDEB BFCCG

The Past is flowing through my thoughtsA
Flowing like a seaB
With all its billows dancing brightC
Over what an undermightC
Of darkling loss and destinyB
Still it floweth through my thoughtsA
Floweth like a seaB
While of worn hope I ask alwayD
Like an unsought cast astrayE
What can the future bring to meB
-
And hope herself admits To theeB
But a darkening sceneF
Only slow days of care and doubtC
Only a dreary lengthening outC
Of what this later past hath beenG
