The Death Of Sisera Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCDBBEEFG

When Deborah the prophetess ruled in God s landA
And Sisera died under Jael s fierce handA
His mother looked forth at the close of the dayB
When the roar of the war died in silence awayB
And she cried Still his charriot tarries afarC
Are its wheels clogged about with the slaughter of warD
And her damsels made answer Awhile yet they stayB
To trample the fallen dividing the preyB
Day shut and the stars that had doomed him to deathE
Rushed out while to listen she pent in her breathE
But the sound of his chariot over the plainF
Like a far roll of thunder came never againG
