And best abode in this most virgin clime | B |
The Old World yet power trampled to the dust | A |
Hath never known thee in thy perfect prime | B |
Seeing all Rule which at a given time | B |
Expires not as reposed in Public Trust | A |
And thence renewable but by Suffrage must | A |
Against thee in its nature be a crime | B |
Seeing that all not privileged to name | B |
Their governors and more to govern too | C |
Choosing or chosen but live unto thy blame | B |
That all are slaves in act who may not do | C |
Whate er is virtuous and in spirit who | C |
Believing aught dare not avow the same | B |
