Greatness Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABCBBCCBDEDFED| That man is truly great and he alone | A |
| Who venerates of present things or past | B |
| The absolute only is the liege of none | C |
| Save God and truth who awed not by this vast | B |
| And shadowy scheme of life but anchored fast | B |
| In love and sitting central like the sun | C |
| So gives his mental beams to pierce and run | C |
| Through all its secrets while his days may last | B |
| While thus progressive little faith has he | D |
| For mysteries till sounding them he hear | E |
| The gathered tones of their stirred depths agree | D |
| With that religious harmony severe | F |
| Which ever anthems to his spirit s ear | E |
| The hallowing presence of the Deity | D |
