Asking In Vain Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCEECFAFACDCEEC GHGH

Still his little grave she seekethA
In her mother sorrow wildB
Hush While in her heart she speakethA
To the spirit of her childB
Were we not to one anotherC
Once the sum of all sweet gainD
Say then say unto thy motherC
Shall we ever meet againE
Darling shall we meet againE
Knowing loving one anotherC
Ah What weary weary sorrowsF
Have I known through loss of theeA
And what comfortless to morrowsF
Wait me in this miseryA
Were we not to one anotherC
Once the sum of all sweet gainD
Say then say unto thy motherC
Shall we ever meet againE
Darling shall we meet againE
Knowing loving one anotherC
-
But the wind alone is heardG
Sighing in replyH
Where the long grave grass is stirredG
As it floweth byH
