Andrew Marvell Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABBAACDEDEDE

Spirit that lookest from the starry foldA
Of truth s white flock next to thy Milton thereB
Accept my reverence though but feebly toldA
And oh My heart from thy example rareB
Henceforth its being for worthiest ends would bearB
Thy deeds though plain were towering all and boldA
And like the stedfast columns that upholdA
Some awful temple to thy duty wereC
How much thy story has enlarged my kenD
Of real greatness Of mere conquerors IE
Read but with anger or with shame but whenD
Of thee uplifted into virtue s skyE
I glory in my brotherhood with menD
And feel how nobly all may live and dieE
