A Similitude Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBACBBBDEDEFEFAIR as the night when all the astral fires | A |
Of heaven are burning in the clear expanse | B |
My love is and her eyes like star depths glance | B |
Lustrous with glowing thoughts and pure desires | A |
And that mysterious pathos which inspires | C |
All moods divine in mortal passion s trance | B |
All that its earthly music doth enhance | B |
As with the rapture of seraphic lyres | B |
I gaze upon her till the atmosphere | D |
Sweetens intensely and to my charmed sight | E |
All fair associated forms appear | D |
Swimming in joy as swim yon orbs in light | E |
And all sweet sounds though common to mine ear | F |
Chime up like silver wing d dreams in flight | E |
