I laugh today to hide the anguish within me | A |
I cry not today for the tears are flowing around me | A |
I wish somehow that the sun will shine on me | A |

The road we crossed split a long time ago | B |
And every step away turns thicker as I go | B |
Somehow I learned to move along and so I go | B |
Memories lingering awhile but i need to go | B |

Leaves have fallen down to blend with the dust | C |
While years have gone to dwell in the past | D |
Seconds are turning into minutes and hours at last | D |
And iron things around are crusted in rust | C |

As the wind fly in the air so the memoirs murmur | E |
A heart bathed in agony is drowning in despair | F |
For awhile it peeps up a top with someone's shoulder | E |
Poking behind a blatant duo of flickering ember | E |

From a time the memories lay dormant within | G |
Allowing today and never yesterday to live | H |
And when all is dead in the hollow of the night | I |
You break the barrier appearing in the dim light | I |

Every smiles now are thorny roses in the summer | E |
Each laugh like barren haven in the desert | J |
And like phantom trapped between the heaven and hell | K |
To the river of tears my dear I wish you plunge at last | D |
