Margarita Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEDE FCGC HACA

Sundering the bushes like a snareA
More violet than Margarita's tight pressed lipsB
More passionate than Margarita's white eyed stareA
The nightingale glowed royally throbbed and trilledC
-
Like the scent of grass ascendingD
Like the crazed rainfall's mercury the foliage amongE
He stupefied the bark approached the mouth pantingD
And halting there upon a braid he hungE
-
When Margarita to the light was drawnF
Stroking her eyes with an astonished handC
It seemed beneath the helm of branch and rainG
A weary Amazon was fallen to the groundC
-
Her head in her hand in his hand layH
Her other arm was bent back up to whereA
Dangling there hung her helmet of shadeC
Sundering the branches like a snareA
