| My torrid times of hunger have made me appreciate only a slice | G |
| I've come to understand the problem is not the gun but the person pulling the trigger | D |
| For I could fight for just a bun with a person even bigger | D |

| If you didn't see me crawl on the soil | H |
| You wouldn't understand why I say | I |
