And she let me open my wings,
Fly free from her sacred heavens.
She gazed at me, watched as I flee,
Until nevermore she could see.
I wished that I could see her face,
But I held back my heart for once.
Her heart will always have a place,
But there will always be distance.
I flew beyond where there was none,
I did not look behind for once.
Although in my eyes tears did run,
I flew with the breeze in silence.
Imagined a world that's yet to shape,
There was no set destination.
Yet to find a place to escape,
I was free, free from her heaven.
