On The Soft And Gentle Motions Of Eudora Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBAACCDEFBBFAA GGHI

Divine Thalia strike th' Harmonious LuteA
But with a Stroke so Gentle as may suteA
The silent gliding of the HowersB
Or yet the calmer growth of FlowersB
Th' ascending or the falling DewA
Which none can see though all find trueA
For thus aloneC
Can be shewnC
How downie how smoothD
Eudora doth MoveE
How Silken her Actions appearF
The Aire of her FaceB
Of a gentler GraceB
Then those that do stroke the EareF
Her Address so sweetA
So Modestly MeetA
-
That 'tis not the Lowd though Tuneable StringG
Can shewforth so soft so Noyseless a ThingG
O This to express from thy Hand must fallH
Then Musicks self something more MusicalI
