Arise my Dove from mid'st of Pots ariseB
Thy sully'd Habitation leaveC
To Dust no longer cleaveC
Unworthy they of Heaven that will not view the SkiesB
-
Thy native Beauty re assumeD
Prune each neglected PlumeD
Till more than Silver whiteE
Then burnisht Gold more brightE
Thus ever ready stand to take thy Eternal FlightE

The Bird to whom the spacious Aire was givenF
As in a smooth and trackless Path to goG
A Walk which does no Limits knowG
Pervious alone to Her and HeavenF
Should she her Airy Race forgetH
On Earth affect to walk and sitI
Should she so high a Priviledge neglectJ
As still on Earth to walk and sit affectJ
What could she of Wrong complainK
Who thus her Birdly Kind doth stainK
If all her Feathers moulted wereL
And naked she were left and bareM
The Jest and Scorn of Earth and AireM
-
IIIA
The Bird of Paradice the SoulN
