To Change The Past Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEFE GHIH

Enclosed in the thin air I trusted timeA
Like a clueless wall holding the clockB
I thought it'd forever chimeA
And new memory will change the lookC
-
I'm only a shadow there's no light to castD
Blinded by dust I can hardly seeE
Like a bird trapped in it's nestF
Conscience can hardly keep me freeE
-
Like a helpless kid and a toy on the top shelfG
I'm betrayed by both sight and heightH
I could see far had I been taller enoughI
To shake off some weight had I seen the lightH
