| Before it blossoms it's curled within | B |
| Before it softens into tender and nesh | C |
| bright and sweet scented | D |
| It's hardened by the leaves and held in place by the roots | E |
| It's faced by unforgiving winds and starving predators | F |
| It's nectar hunted by hungry fellows | G |
| Through surviving it endures and grows | G |
| And it's past obscured by the glowing petals | H |
