When Does It End? Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCEFGHGIJIFKLKL

I know you have been askingA
That question of oldB
Of the troubles with days passingA
Of the horrors untoldB
They told you to be strongC
Told you not to be in hasteD
Yet you never did belongC
In this mindless unfair placeE
Yours is the joy as the early ray of the rising sunF
Meets the leaf resounding peaceful greenG
But as you have been and are but a manH
Comes with it all the grim you have seenG
The pain of death and loss and tragedyI
The void from holding on to the happier days goneJ
Know that this is no maladyI
For pain is a battle and not all battles should be wonF
For if life is a battle then life is painK
There is therefore no need to pretendL
That we do not pray for the rainK
And beg that question When does it endL
