Propinquity Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD BBEE

This golden ring on my fourth fingerA
Reminds me of love when troubles lingerA
Calls to memory that solemn vowB
To follow undaunted no matter howB
-
When tempted to withhold my affectionC
Or beguiled not to give my attentionC
Then I remembered that faithful dayD
Our hearts ere the altar fused to prayD
-
This cord springs greater joy nowB
Than can be measured by the prize of cowB
To you my love I give my allE
While I stay resting in your hallE
