To My Bones Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDE FGHI JKD LIL LM LLND LOPL E

In my sleep it rips throughA
my meagre skinB
throws off the red bandage of the fleshC
and goes strolling through the roomD
my monument a little incompleteE
-
one can be prodigalF
with tears and bloodG
what will endure here the longestH
must be thoughtfully provided forI
-
better than with a priest's dry fingerJ
to the rains which drip from a cloud of sandK
to give one's monument to the academeyD
-
they will prop it up in a glass display caseL
and in Latin they will pray beforeI
the little altar made from an os frontalisL
-
they will reckon the bones and surfacesL
they will not forget not overlookM
-
happily I will give my color of eyesL
pattern of nails and curve of eyelidsL
I the perfectly objectiveN
made from white crystals of anatomyD
-
can for thoughtsL
heart cageO
bony pileP
and two shinsL
-
you my little monument not quite completeE
