Pebble Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AB CD EF FB GE HIEJ KGL

The pebbleA
is a perfect creatureB
-
equal to itselfC
mindful of its limitsD
-
filled exactlyE
with a pebbly meaningF
-
with a scent that does not remind one of anythingF
does not frighten anything away does not arouse desireB
-
its ardour and coldnessG
are just and full of dignityE
-
I feel a heavy remorseH
when I hold it in my handI
and its noble bodyE
is permeated by false warmthJ
-
Pebbles cannot be tamedK
to the end they will look at usG
with a calm and very clear eyeL
