for perfidious protectorsA
-
I was playing in the streetB
no one paid attention to meC
as I made forms out of sandD
mumbling Rimbaud under my breathE
-
once an elderly gentleman overheard itF
little boy you are a poetG
just now we are organizingH
a grass roots literary movementI
-
he stroked my dirty headJ
gave me a large lollypopK
and even bought clothesL
in the protective coloring of youthM
-
I didn t have such a splendid suitN
since first communionO
short trousers and a wideP
sailor s collarQ
-
black patent leather shoes with a buckleR
white knee high socksS
the elderly gentleman took me by the handD
and led the way to the ballT
-
other boys were thereU
also in short trousersA
carefully shavenO
shuffling their feetB
-
well boys now it s time to playV
why are you standing in the cornersA
asked the elderly gentlemanO
make a circle holding handsW
-
but we didn t want tagX
or blindman s buffY
we had enough of the elderly gentlemanO
we were very hungryC
-
so we were seated promptlyC
around a large tableR
given lemonadeZ
and pieces of cakeA2
-
now disguised as adultsB2
with deep voicesC2
the boys got up they praised usD2
or slapped us on our handsW
-
we didn t hear anythingH
didn t feel anythingH
staring with great eyesE2
at the piece of cakeA2
that kept meltingH
in our hot handsW
and this sweet taste the first in our livesF2
disappeared inside our dark sleevesG2
