To A Snowdrop Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDECDE

Lone Flower hemmed in with snows and white as theyA
But hardier far once more I see thee bendB
Thy forehead as if fearful to offendB
Like an unbidden guest Though day by dayA
Storms sallying from the mountain tops waylayA
The rising sun and on the plains descendB
Yet art thou welcome welcome as a friendB
Whose zeal outruns his promise Blue eyed MayA
Shall soon behold this border thickly setC
With bright jonquils their odours lavishingD
On the soft west wind and his frolic peersE
Nor will I then thy modest grace forgetC
Chaste Snowdrop venturous harbinger of SpringD
And pensive monitor of fleeting yearsE
