Rhyme Scheme: ABCCBB CCDDEEBBFFGG

We are prevented you whose Presence isA
A Publick New yeares gift a Common blissB
To all that Love or Feare give no man leaveC
To vie a Gift but first he shall receaveC
Like as the Persian Sun with golden EiesB
First shines upon the Priest and SacrificeB
-
-
Ile on howere May this yeare happier proveC
Than all the Golden Age when Vertue stroveC
With nothing but with Vertue may it beeD
Such as the Dayes of Saturnes InfancyD
May every Tide and Season joyntly fittE
All your Intents and your Occasions hittE
May every Grayne of Sand within your GlassB
Number a fresh content before it passB
And when success comes on stand then each howreF
Like Josuah's Day grow to three or fowreF
At last when this yeare rounds and wheeles awayG
Bee still the next yeare like the old yeares DayG
